Rox

Drums, Backing Vocals, Subway-Sandwich Artist

Rox’s beginnings in music were quite “rocky” indeed. Growing up under his families double-wide trailer with the dogs, he began playing drums on discarded 5 gallon buckets from his fathers dry-wall business. His influences were John Bonham (Led Zeppelin), Mitch Mitchell (Jimi Hendrix), Bill Ward (Black Sabbath) etc. He would play along with the music coming from his fathers’ 8-track player above in the trailer while trying to tune out the sounds of the dogs howling in his ears.

When Rox was old enough to move away from his family’s plight (12 yrs old), he ended up discovering the endless opportunities of playing music in the big city (Waldo). One night while playing in a local Southern Rock Band called “Billy Mack And The Goat Riders” in a bar called “The Boars Den”, he was noticed by a talent scout and recruited to play for “Spinal Tap”. What the hell was a talent scout doing in Waldo?…….Anyway, he had to quit the band after one world tour because of health reasons (Phobia of explosions). But this didn’t discourage Rox however, he went on to free-lance and sit in with bands the likes of UFO, Zebra and Frank Sinatra.

Over 20 years and several bands later, he alas has joined up with the crew of ROCKSTAR. His musical prowess exudes from his years of playing and living the rock star lifestyle. His talents compliment the overall taste of SIZZLING METAL that comes from the band ROCKSTAR. “Play it loud and proud, and DON’T FORGET TO FEED THE DOGS!!!!!” is his motto.
